Charts

Data Charts is the new feature added to HSA Software Version 3.0.  Bar or Pie Charts can be prepared for different accident categories and conditions.  You can open individual charts for each crash category from Accident Summary Sheet.  Also you can open a Chart Report that includes all or selected charts.

One of the charts generated by HSA Software is called Direction Daisy.  It displays the number of vehicles involved in different accident categories by direction of travel.  You can select accident category (type, severity, weather, etc.)  and corresponding sub-category  (rear end, right angle, ...) and display how many vehicles are involved in accidents of selected sub-category by direction of travel.  You can also see the percentage of vehicles in this sub-category to all vehicles involved in each direction.

Direction Daisy chart reveals accident patterns specific to certain intersection approach, or side of the road.

Chart Report can also be opened from pull down menu along with Contributing Factor chart and Direction Daisy.  The last two charts are not included in overall chart report, they can be generated and printed out separately.  Some charts may be converted from bar to pie charts and back.  You can generate charts for entire time period, or per year.  

As with all the other forms and reports in HSA Software, you can use data filters to prepare charts for specific intersections, or accident categories.
